Rescued Helpers Inc. provides services that aid both America's Veterans who are disabled or retired. German Shepherds and Labradors are pulled from Kill Shelters Nationwide and death row.
After they are safe, then the K-9 training begins.Once the K-9 has graduated, they will be paired with a veteran who needs them. Assist dogs/therapy dogs/service dogs. We also help the general community with german shepherds as well.
R.H.I an educational, therapeutic facility where vocational training and therapy based canine care serves as a bridge to greater independence, improved quality of life and health.
We serve those challenged with homelessness, near-homelessness and emotional, mental or physical limitations, including our Post-traumatic Stress Disorder population.
Rescued Helpers, Inc. recognizes all governments, all states, all counties, and all communities across America and around the world. We have the tremendous financial responsibility of caring for the homeless, the mentally, physically, emotionally, and educationally challenged veterans of America, as well as the growing population of the elderly and the overcrowding of animal shelters.
Rescued Helpers is committed to relieving some of this responsibility by networking with The Veterans Administration, professional medical health agencies, mental health agencies, those in private practice, and renowned animal shelters worldwide.
All participants are evaluated through a confidential screening process for housing and/or job placement, while others are overseen by their personal physician or, in some instances, their psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse practitioner, etc.
Once the evaulation is complete, the agreed-upon individualized therapy program sessions, coupled with goal-setting benchmarks and life building skills, are then implemented.
Rescued Helpers and its staff are well versed in recognizing a person's individual talents and personalities, as well as a canine's unique talents and personalities. Therapeutic interactions begin by means of caring for, learning and teaching basic commands with canines.
Individuals surpass certain goals and learn to function independently on their own by learning basic life skills in our workshops, career-oriented activities, and group functions while experiencing therapeutic interaction through the care and training of canines.
These canines will be also surpassing goals by becoming either a service dog, therapy dog, or simply a well-trained companion dog for our special-needs population that needs a canine helper, so they too can live a more independent and productive lifestyle for themselves and all they come in contact with.
Rescued Helpers veterans that complete our multiple programs participate in our workshops and then decide to engage and further their education in our career building programs will be taking some of the burden off of our state and local governments by being productive in today's job market.
For those who qualify in our Rescued Helpers Job Skills Programs, we provide individuals with the opportunity to participate in uur K-9 Security operations and/or construction and building, as well as management and operations of our P.H.C.O.P. (Personal Home Care Outreach Programs), diverse corporations, retail sales, advertising, mechanical and general labor, and all kinds of commerce in and around our cities across America and throughout the world that Rescued Helpers Inc. veterans have built and operate.
With the existing programs of today being of their own separate entities, outlets are limited.
Currently, joblessness and homelessness abounds in all U.S. cities. Many suffering Veterans are simply herded back into mainstream living, which adds to the homelessness and joblessness dilemma.
Those with cognitive needs or are wheelchair-bound usually cannot afford a service animal to help them. Animal shelters are overcrowded, with adoption numbers very low, and canine euthanasia runs into the millions each day.
Rescued Helpers combines all of these negatives and turns them into positive, productive, sustainable ways of life.
